OPEX Calendar — next 12 months

The next monthly options expiration (OPEX) is Nov 20, 2026. The next triple witching is Dec 18, 2026. Monthly options expire on the third Friday of the month, or the prior business day when that Friday is an exchange holiday (e.g. June 2027: Jun 17, 2027).

The next standard monthly options expiration is Nov 20, 2026.
What is triple witching?
The quarterly expiration (March, June, September, December) when stock options, index options and index futures expire together, which often lifts volume. The next one is Dec 18, 2026.
What happens when the third Friday is a holiday?
Expiration moves to the preceding business day, usually Thursday. In June 2027 it falls on Jun 17, 2027 because Jun 18, 2027 is a market holiday.
When do VIX options expire?
On the Wednesday 30 days before the following month’s standard options expiration. The next VIX expiry is Oct 21, 2026.
